I CAN'T NOT MAKE GAMES.

I have enough lockerspace to hold an episode of Friends.

"We'll make a toast to absent friends and better days,
To remembering and being remembered as brave
And not as a bunch of whining jerks!

Don't lose your nerve.
Do not go straight
You must testify
(or I'm going to come to your house and punch you in the mouth)
cause CLOWNS MUST STAND."

- TW/IFS, "All The World Is A Stage Dive"
Iron Gaia
As the only human awake on board a space station controlled by an insane AI with delusions of deification, you must unravel the mystery of your own identity and discover: "What is the Iron Gaia?"

What are you thinking about right now?

I desperately want to not believe the following, which I know in my heart to be true: the only "cure" for writer's block is getting the fuck over yourself.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

I have never played Suikoden, still gotta remedy that. Sometime around when I get through all those Final Fantasies I've never finished...like all of them....

@Shinan: Which space sim is that? I've been looking for a new one lately. I'm kind of a fan of the X series but that's kind of a love-hate relationship for obvious reasons (if you're familiar with that series). They have a lot of baggage.

Elite: Dangerous looks pretty baller but I'm hesitant to buy a full price game when there are so many for less than full price. I was thinking about picking up Space Engineers or Kinetic Void on steam.

Anyway, for Christmas I got Far Cry 4 and Civilization: Beyond Earth, and I won Claire and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream from the RMN Plays event.

Yet in spite of all of those and a HOST of other unplayed videogames I did not even mention, I find myself virtually unable to play anything but the new build of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. Which is eating up so many hours of every day (and turning them into amazing stories of survival, or more often...not survival, in the face of impossible odds).

Truly the deepest and broadest open-world survival/horror post-apocalyptic zombie quasi-roguelike ever made (it's going to be hard going back to something as limited as Fallout and those open-world FPS crafty shooters like DayZ seem to pale in comparison), and unbelievably addictive once you get into it (because of, not in spite of its punishing difficulty and permadeath). It is free and has no real graphics or music/sounds yet it's beating the shit out of brand new AAA games (among others) in holding a vice grip on my attention and not letting go, ever. Every day I load it I wish I could throw my entire wallet at its creator.

TOO MANY VIDYAGAMES. How's a guy ever s'posed to work on RPG Maker. Self control? What's that.

@Max I'm pretty sure it's considered the background? Suzy's right in saying the girlie is the sprite in the center - not on the right.

It's a confusing statement because green helmet man is in the foreground, the green haired red eyed dude is in the actual background, and yeah the sprite you're referring to is kind of in the MIDDLE. I'm not quibbling semantics here so much as I was just actually confused lol.

nemoj that looks great love the style

Gourd-Clae what the fuck I don't even

(Do you mean 'the girlie in the FOREGROUND' is what you're expecting most of your sprites to be in the style of?)

Luxaren Allure

So I just moved computers and I just now realized that I lost all of my other peoples' RPG maker games and therefore all my save files for other peoples' RPG maker games and argh.

Not a problem for this game because LA's intro was like 10 minutes max if that and I'd barely gotten anywhere so I don't mind sitting through it again. It's going to suck for some other games I was looking forward to playing though (i.e. Vagabond which I made significant progress in and IMTS which had a really involved intro and non-interactive intro sequence) though.

Not sure if the less annoying solution is to dig out my old desktop and get it set up again somewhere and try and salvage the contents of my 'Other Peoples' Games' folder onto a flash drive or to just grin and bear it and replay a bunch of intros. Hmm.

Actually, I really like them the way they are for what that's worth. They seem to match the style of the ground perfectly. I imagine it's even prettier in motion.

The Interview

I am pretty sure I'm going to see it more than once.

I am very suspicious of the argument that North Korea's state propaganda wants us to see them as adorably incompetent muppets with no fucking idea what they're doing. If that is what they're trying to see well...they're doing a great job.

Laughter is a WEAPON against evil. It's not another form of appeasement. If the world isn't doing anything about North Korea, it's not because we think they're a joke. That's irrelevant. It's because "policing the world" hasn't gone well for the US in the last 14 years...actually everyone straight up hates us...and very understandably, no other nation wants to follow in our footsteps.

But laughing at NORTH KOREA BEST KOREA doesn't make Korea stronger. Or their little dictator wouldn't be so desperate to makes sure no one does laugh at them.

The real way to stick it to North Korea would be to start organizing mass donations to nonprofits dedicated to ending it, making their human rights abuses viral, and starting an online movement that pressure world leaders into breaking the Kim regime. That would actually scare the shit out of the DPRK.

It's short sighted and willfully blind not to realize that the Interview has heightened global awareness of North Korea (and its atrocities) to the highest level it's been at in years.

I am WAY less interested in the MAPPING of this screenshot and way more interested in everything else about it. What the HELL is going on here? Why is this wolf trusted not to eat this chicken?

Yo.
